TYCO R/C Toy Story Buzz Spaceship Radio Control Vehicle

TYCO R/C Toy Story Buzz Spaceship Radio Control Vehicle Review

I bought this toy for my almost 7yo developmentally delayed ds who also has hand birth defects. Even though it only has one button it's a little tricky to use. You see it goes backwards and to the left when you turn the spaceship "on" and when you push and hold down the button it then goes forward. In order to steer it you have to get that you release the button and it rapidly goes backwards and to the left so you may have to depress the button a few times to get it steered in the direction you want it to go. The button doesn't require too much pressure to operate so that's a plus. My son likes this toy it's just a little tricky for him to manuever.

Beware of the "always on" - David Stanton -
There's a huge design flaw in this toy! The remote control can't stop the car!

Once you turn the car "on", the wheels start spinning. The remote control only controls whether the car is going backwards or forward. The remote can't brake or stop the car. So the car goes and goes and only forward or backward (with a turn) can be controlled.

It's very frustrating, because unless you constantly switch between forward and reverse turn, the car will constantly run into walls, people, furniture, etc. If only Tyco/Disney had spent another few dollars and put a "brake" feature in the remote.
